Ginger Chicken 2

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg chicken, boneless
  • 1/4th – ½ cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon red chili
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
  • 1/4th cup yoghurt
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • salt to taste
  • 6 green chili
  • ¼ - ½ cup fresh coriander as required
  • 1 inch ginger, julienne cut

DIRECTIONS

  • 1. Put chicken in a bowl. Add salt, garlic paste, ginger paste, black pepper and 1 tablespoon oil. Marinate for 20 minutes.
  • 2. Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onion and saute for 4-5 minutes till golden brown.
  • 3. Add chicken and cook on high flame till the color changes.
  • 4. Turn flame to medium and add red chili powder, garam masala powder and kasuri methi. Cook for 1-2 minute and bhonofy the masala.
  • 5. Add tomato paste, yoghurt, green chilies and water. Let cook till chicken is tender.
  • 6. Add julienne ginger and coriander leaves. Let cook for 5 minutes to let the ginger aroma infuse through and then take it out.
  • 7. Serve hot. Sprinkle with more coriander on top.
