Hara Masala Qeema

This spicy qeema is made using lots of green chilies & coriander leaves with peas for texture & crunch.

INGREDIENTS
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 2-3 medium onions, chopped
- ½ kg beef / chicken mince (qeema)
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
- 6 green chilies
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- ½ bunch coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ kg peas
- 1 cup yogurt
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Heat 4 tablespoon oil in pan. Add chopped onion and fry till translucent.
- 2. Add ½ kg qeema and stir on high heat till color changes.
- 3. Turn heat to medium and add tomato puree, chopped garlic, chopped green chilies, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric powder & red chili powder. Saute (bhoonafy ) for 3-4 minutes to make sure the spices get cooked properly.
- 4. Add ½ kg peas and yoghurt. Fry well till oil comes on top. Chicken qeema will cook quickly versus beef qeema.
- 5. Let simmer for 20 minutes till peas are tender. Take off heat and serve hot with green chilies & coriander leaves on top.
