Grilled Chicken Sandwiches with Honey Mustard Sauce

These chicken sandwiches are grilled and filled with a delicious honey mustard sauce.

INGREDIENTS
- Bread – 9 slices ( remove the ends)
- Boneless chicken – ½ cup
- Yogurt – 4 tablespoon
- Salt – to taste
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Lemon juice- 1 tbsp
- Orange food color – 1 pinch ( optional)
- For sauce
- Mayonnaise- ½ cup
- Honey – 1 tbsp
- Mustard powder – ¼ tsp
- Apple cider vinegar – 1 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – 1 tsp
- Milk – as required
- Olives – 4-5 ( chopped)
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Marinate the chicken with yoghurt, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice and orange food color (optional). Leave to marinate for at least 15 – 20 minutes.
- 2. Heat oil in a pan. Add chicken and cook till tender. Shred the chicken with a spoon.
- 3. Make the sauce by adding mayonnaise, honey, mustard powder, apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, olives and milk. Whisk till smooth.
- 4. Heat oil in a grill pan. Add bread slices and toast till light golden.
- 5. Start assembling the sandwiches.
- 6. First place the chicken on one slice then green chutney (optional) or ketchup.
- 7. Place another toast over it then the sauce and then the third slice.
- 8. Cut in 4 equal triangles and serve hot with ketchup or other dip.
Notes:
You can play around with the sandwich filling by adding ingredients that you like. For example, you can add onions, tomatoes or cucumbers.
