INGREDIENTS
- ½ kg boiled rice
- For chicken:
- 300 grams boneless chicken (cut into cubes)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- For batter:
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3 tablespoons corn flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
- For sauce:
- ¼ cup oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 2 tablespoon soya sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 1 cup water
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 capsicum, sliced
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Marinate boneless chicken with vinegar, soya sauce, salt & black pepper. Leave for 20 minutes
- 2. Make batter by mixing together flour, cornflour, baking powder, salt, crushed red chili flakes and egg.
- 3. Heat oil.
- 4. Dip boneless chicken in batter and deep-fry till light golden.
- 5. Heat oil in sauce pan.
- 6. Add sliced garlic and saute for a minute till light golden.
- 7. Add soya sauce, chili garlic sauce, crushed red chili pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- 8. Add onions and capsicum. Saute for a minute then add water.
- 9. Once the sauce comes to a boil, add corn flour to thick the sauce. Set aside.
- 10. To assemble the sizzler.
- 11. Put rice in a sizzler plate. Top with the fried chicken and the sauce.
- 12. Garnish with spring onions.
