INGREDIENTS
- French Bread Load – 1 ( cut in slices as shown in Picture)
- ½ cup Shredded boiled Chicken
- ¼ + ¼ cup Capsicum
- ¼ + ¼ cup Onion
- ¼ cup Cabbage
- 1 tablespoon Garlic
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- Salt – to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- ¼ teaspoon Red chili powder
- ¼ cup Cheddar Cheese
- ¼ cup Mozzarella cheese
- Oregano leaves – for sprinkling
DIRECTIONS
- 1. In a pan add oil, add 1/4th cup onion, chicken and 1/4th cup capsicum. Add salt, chili powder and pepper, mix well and remove from heat
- 2. Grease baking dish with oil, and place sliced French breads over it
- 3. Layer the breads with the chicken mixture
- 4. Put cheddar and mozzarella cheese over it
- 5. Put remaining onions and capsicum over it
- 6. Sprinkle oregano leaves
- 7. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese melts, grill for a minute or two for browning the surface
- 8. Serve hot
Notes:
You can always use the left over chicken for making this, bringing in twist in toppings for more flavors and comfort food. Perfect for lunch boxes and hi tea snacks. Photo credits: Author
