INGREDIENTS
- Curry paste:
- 10 peppercorns (kali mirch)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon turmeric (haldi) powder
- 10 cashews
- 2 teaspoon poppyseeds (khash khaash)
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds (methi daana)
- 6 whole red chillies
- Paneer Gravy:
- 500gm paneer, cubed
- 4 tomatoes, pureed
- 3 onions, sliced
- 2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 4 cloves
- 1” stick cinnamon
- 6 cardamoms
- 1 bayleaf
- 1 stalk curry leaves
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Make curry paste by grinding together peppercorns, cumin, turmeric powder, soaked and drained cashewnuts, poppyseeds, ginger garlic paste, fenugreek and red chillies.
- 2. Heat oil.
- 3. Add cardamoms, cinnamon, fenugreek, curry leaves and cloves.
- 4. Add sliced onions, fry and add tomato puree and bayleaf, add ground masala and fry and lastly add in the paneer cubes slowly and gently mix in, or they will break.
- 5. Simmer and serve with roti.
