This crispy chicken burger will indulge your craving for fast food. Serve with French fries and coleslaw.

INGREDIENTS
- For marinade
- Chicken breast boneless 4 pieces
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper 1 teaspoon
- Mustard powder ½ teaspoon
- Red chili powder ½ teaspoon
- Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon
- Oil 1 tablespoon
- For batter:
- Flour 3 tablespoon
- Corn flour 1 tablespoon
- Baking soda ½ teaspoon
- Egg 1
- Milk 3 tablespoon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- For coating:
- Cornflakes, crushed 1 cup
- Breadcrumbs 1 cup
- To assemble:
- Lettuce as required
- Mayonnaise as required
- Cheese slice as required
- Burger buns as required
- Tomato sliced as required
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Marinate the chicken with salt, black pepper, mustard powder, red chili powder, Worcestershire sauce and oil. Leave to marinate for about 30 minutes.
- 2. Make batter by mixing together flour, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, cornflour, baking soda, egg and milk. Whisk till batter is smooth and there are no lumps.
- 3. In a shallow plate combine crushed cornflakes and breadcrumbs for coating.
- 4. Coat chicken breast fillets first in the batter, then the cornflakes + breadcrumbs mixture.
- 5. Deep fry on low-medium heat till light golden and crispy on the outside.
- 6. Toast the burger buns on both sides.
- 7. Build crispy chicken burger by placing a lettuce on the bottom burger bun. Spread mayonnaise, then put chicken piece, cheese slice and then tomato. Cover with the top burger bun.
